The Humanitarian Coaching Network (HCN) was created in 2012 as a way of democratizing access to coaching support within the humanitarian and development field, particularly for staff populations that have been historically overlooked and underserved. Given the vital importance of their missions, it is imperative that these organizations are able to care for their staff effectively, especially those serving in the most complex and vulnerable duty stations.

To this end, The HCN has enlisted over 900 professional coaches worldwide to offer their services pro bono in support of organizations dedicated to the betterment of the world. The generous offering of time and energy from this community of coaches allows The HCN to offer individual coaching support to organizations at unprecedented scale and at nominal cost. Whatever proceeds are generated allow The HCN to function while also sponsoring other organizations that lack financial resources for staff development and wellbeing.
